What to expect
Before the session
Mention any skin sensitivity or allergy. Herbal balm is applied to the areas being worked on, so tell the therapist about any area to avoid.
During the session
The balm creates a warming sensation as the therapist works. Say so straight away if the warmth or pressure feels too strong and the therapist will adjust.
After the session
The warmth can linger for a while. Avoid a very hot shower immediately afterwards and protect hotel linen with a towel.
